Tom, un joven publicitario moderno y urbano, acude al funeral de su amante tras fallecer éste en un accidente de tráfico. Será en una aislada granja lechera donde se encuentre por primera vez con la madre de su amado fallecido. Ella no tiene idea de quién es, ni menos aún, del amor que compartió junto a su hijo. En la granja, Tom conoce al agresivo hermano de su amante, el cual lo arrastra rápidamente a un juego retorcido y sexualmente cargado.
